BIOGRAPHY

Aileen Wong RN, SCM

Aileen is a registered nurse with 35 years’ experience including 15 years of progressive healthcare management experience.
Aileen is very passionate about providing residents with quality of life and ensuring their voice is heard.  She promotes team work and innovation with her staff in meeting resident needs and providing person-centred care.  She is a strong advocate for promoting quality care and safe practices for both residents and staff.
Aileen joined CapitalCare in 2014 as the manager of Infection Prevention and Control, Standards and Audits, and became administrator of the Kipnes Centre for Veterans in 2016. In 2021 she moved to CapitalCare Lynnwood as the Site Director. In August 2022, Aileen accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer for CapitalCare. Prior to that Aileen worked in a number of positions with Alberta Health Services including;  director for Patient Relations, Edmonton Zone; manager for Quality Improvements and Consultation Services, Facility Living. She has also been a director of care with Extendicare Inc.
Aileen immigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1990 where she graduated from the Richmond Hospital in Dublin as a registered nurse and the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin as a state certified midwife (SCM).
