Active cases of COVID-19 at CapitalCare

CapitalCare is COVID-free at all centres.
CapitalCare Strathcona remains on outbreak precautions at both Heritage and Harvest Houses after a small number of residents began experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms (nausea/vomiting/diarrhea) last week. Residents of Harvest House have tested negative for COVID-19 and are improving. Visitation remains paused at both houses until next week.

The outbreak at CapitalCare Dickinsfield was declared over Aug. 3 and visitation has resumed.

The outbreak at CapitalCare Strathcona has spread to Harvest House and visitation is paused at both houses.

CapitalCare Dickinsfield remains on facility-wide outbreak after two staff tested positive for COVID-19. Asymptomatic swabbing is now complete and no residents or additional staff have tested positive.

CapitalCare Strathcona (Heritage House) was put on outbreak precautions July 29 after a small number of residents began experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms (nausea/vomiting/diarrhea). Residents who are ill have tested negative for COVID-19 and are improving. Visitation is temporarily paused at Heritage House.

One staff member at CapitalCare Dickinsfield has tested positive for COVID-19. The centre is on outbreak and outdoor visits are paused. For more information, click here.
There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at any other CapitalCare centre. The outbreak at CapitalCare Norwood ended June 29, and at CapitalCare Grandview June 24.
