BIOGRAPHY

Tracey Buffam, RN, MBA

Tracey is a registered nurse with 27 years’ experience caring for seniors. Tracey worked as a frontline nurse in long-term care for five years, then advanced to leadership roles including; care coordinator; site manager; and regional director of operations. In her various roles, Tracey has been involved in planning and implementing site, program and regional initiatives.

Tracey is focused on developing teams and collaborating for continuous improvements, using creative approaches to develop person-centered homes and programs, as well as fostering healthy, fulfilling workplaces with a positive culture.

Tracey began her career with CapitalCare as site director for CapitalCare Dickinsfield on June 12, 2017.  She was previously with the Good Samaritan Society, most recently as Director of Operations for the Northern Alberta region. Her portfolio included supportive living and long-term care facilities; community seniors’ clinic; and day programs and group homes for younger adults.

Tracey was born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in Edmonton. She completed her nursing training at the University of Alberta Hospital and has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Athabasca.
