Maureen Flynn, RN, BScN
Maureen is a registered nurse with over 35 years of experience in the health care system, in both acute and long-term care. Her extensive range of experience includes clinical nursing, human resources management and leadership development. She is a strong advocate for quality of life and quality of care for residents, families and staff.
In addition to clinical nursing experience in medicine, surgery, oncology & emergency, Maureen has a strong background in staff education, development and leadership. She has worked as a nurse educator in long-term care; a nursing instructor; a care manager; a human resources manager; and a director of care.
Maureen has been the administrator of CapitalCare Dickinsfield since April 7, 2014. She was previously the administrator of CapitalCare Grandview for five years. During this time, Maureen was called upon to lead CapitalCare through two accreditation cycles, a process which took notice of our focus on quality practices while providing a home-like environment, and validated our progress in the area of person-centred care.
Maureen is born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta.
