BIOGRAPHY

Penny Reynolds, MCE, BScN, RN

Penny is a senior health care executive with 38 years of experience in the Alberta health care system. She has been a leader in a variety of settings including emergency, acute, and continuing care. Her range of expertise includes clinical nursing and education, restorative care, post-acute care and health-care leadership. Her passion lies in the promotion of quality care, positive organizational culture, and motivating health-care providers to grow to their fullest potential.

Penny began her career with CapitalCare in 2005 as the manager of the CHOICE Program at Norwood. She became site director for CapitalCare Norwood in 2007. Penny was a sitting member of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Rehabilitation and Restorative Care Committee and co-chaired the committee to implement Restorative Care programs in the Edmonton Zone. Penny is currently a steering committee member of the Norwood Re-Development Project/Gene Zwozdesky Centre and was a member of the AHS steering committee for the 20/30 Master Plan.

Penny was raised in Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta and a Master’s Degree in Continuing Education from the University of Calgary.
